Bone Broth for your dog

INGREDIENTS 2 lb of bones, cookwith can leave some flesh on (chicken, turkey, pork or beef) 2 stalks of celery 2 carrots 8 cups of water ½ tsp of rosemary ½ tsp of tumeric 3 tbsp of apple cider vinegar
DIRECTIONS 1. Add raw meat/bone matter to a large crock pot 2. Chop 2 stalks of celery into 2 inch lengths & add 3. Chop carrots into approx. 2 inch lengths and add 4. Add 8 cups of water 5. Add 3 tblsp of apple cider vinigar 6. Add tumeric ½ tsp, and rosemary ½ tsp 7. Turn crock pot on low and let cook for 18 to 22 hours. 8. When done, remove the contents from the broth. You can keep the carrots but toss the celery. Allow the broth to cool and remove fat that has risen to the top 9. Refridgerate what you can use in a week. Freeze the rest. Renders 8 cups of broth
How much to feed Bone broth is nutrient dense so don’t overdue it. A standard serving of bone broth for a dog is 1 ounce of broth for every 10 pounds of body weight. A single serving for a 100-pound dog is 10 ounces. Your dog can have up to two servings per day. Work up from a ½ teaspoon per meal until you see that the dog digesting well.

LEFT OVERS discard bones and celery when broth is done chop up the carrots for you or your dog chop up the cooked flesh for you or your dog discard most of the skin and fat. As an option, keep a small amount to flavour kibble (less than a tsp per day)
